Assemblyman Thurston Smith, known to most as ?Smitty,? has been a longtime advocate for our region.

As an Assemblyman, Smitty serves on eight committees including: Budget, Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials (Vice Chair), Governmental Organization, Jobs, Economic Development, and the Economy, Military and Veterans Affairs, and Water, Parks, and Wildlife. Through these committee assignments, Smitty will be representing California?s High Desert and Mountain communities in the statewide discussion.
